UNITECH HUB provides JAMB CBT practice. This policy explains what information we handle when you create an account and use the app, why we use it, and the choices available to you.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Account information: Your name and email address; optionally, a profile picture and preferred course of study.
- JAMB practice information: Selected subjects, answers, exam attempts, scores, reviews, practice activity, and leaderboard statistics.
- Technical and security information: Login and request records, including IP address, used to operate the service and protect accounts.
- Notification information: A device notification token and platform when you enable app notifications.
- Payment records: If you pay for access, Paystack processes your checkout details. We receive transaction references, amount, status, and access dates; we do not store full card details.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide JAMB CBT practice, calculate and show results, maintain exam history, display performance summaries, and operate the practice leaderboard.
- Manage your account, profile, and any paid access.
- Send account verification, password reset, account deletion, and service notifications.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and secure the app and prevent abuse.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal data. We may share information only in the following cases:
- With service providers needed to operate the app, such as hosting, email, Google sign-in, push notifications, and Paystack payment processing.
- When required by law or to protect our legal rights.
5. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
6. Data Retention
We keep account and JAMB practice records while needed to provide your account, exam history, and service. Payment and security records may be retained for accounting, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, or legal requirements. When an account is deleted, we delete or de-identify associated data where practical, subject to records we must retain.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access and update your personal information from the Edit Profile section.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Turn off app notifications in your device settings.
- Ask us about your personal data or request a copy by contacting us.
8. Children’s Privacy
The app is for people preparing for JAMB. If you are under 13, use it only with a parent or guardian’s involvement. If we learn that we collected a child’s personal information without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes through the app or by email.
